TechCrunch の Surface 記事の冒頭（メモなので読む意義ないです）
TechCrunch の記事「Microsoft Surfaceにさわってみた, 独特のこだわりで超力作になってる」が，パッと読んで妙な訳文だったので，冒頭だけチェックしてみました．

Microsoft Surfaceにさわった。この、Microsoftの“大声”は、AppleのiPadとMacBook Air、多様なAndroidタブレットの一群、それに既存のWindowsタブレットなど、要するに今ある人気モバイルコンピューティング製品全員に勝負を挑んでいる。だからすごく意欲的な製品であり、Microsoftはハードからソフトまでのすべて、あらゆる細部がMicrosoft製であることを、くどいほど強調している。
どうも「大声」というのが浮いている．

"loud and clear answer" に loud（大声の）があるのがわかります．これはアップル iPad その他への「朗々として明快な返答」という意味．難しくはないので，訳した人も別にわからなかったのではなく，翻訳の処理としてああいう訳文に組み替えたのかもしれません――結果はいまいちでしたが．

マイクロソフトの Surface にさわってきた．できたて最新のデバイスだ．アップルの iPad，MacBook Air，並み居るアンドロイド OS タブレットや，既存のウィンドウズ OS タブレットなど，今日のいちばん強力で人気のあるモバイル製品の向こうを張って，マイクロソフトは高らかにこれが我が社の答えだと打って出たようだ．中身から外側まで，ソフトウェアからハードウェアまでをマイクロソフト一社がつくりあげた，実に野心的な意欲作だ――同社は必死になってそう強調している．
たんにぼくが気になっただけで，これ自体は小さなことです．この日本語版記事には，そもそも最後のパラグラフ2つを訳していなかったり，原文とスタンスが異なっていたりといった難点が指摘されています（はてなブックマーク参照）．
メモ
パラグラフ最後の一文は，文の構造がすぐにとれなくて戸惑いました：
It’s a very ambitious effort that the company is making great pains to emphasize has been built by Microsoft from the inside out, from the hardware to the software.
It ... that の分裂文かと思ったんですが，実は that 以下は関係節です．しかも，埋め込みがあります：
It’s a very ambitious effort (that the company is making great pains to emphasize has been built by Microsoft from the inside out, from the hardware to the software).
「マイクロソフトが「ソフトウェアからハードウェアまでウチがすべてつくりましたよ」と必死になって強調している，とても野心的な意欲作である」という意味です．
